Bee Breakfast February 10, 2024

Our Bee Breakfast on February 10th, 2024 was cool and raining. A perfect day for breakfast at The Circle "G" Restaurant From L. to R. there was Rachael, George, Senia, Wayne, Diane, Tommy, Lee, and Linda.

We talked about the weather, our bees, the Demaree method, splitting, nucs, bottom supering, top supering, swarms, George mentioned Dr. Samual Ramsey, an entomologist with Maryland State University and his research on the Tropilaelaps Mite, as "an emerging threat to the European honey bee". Yes, something new to be aware of on the horizon. We also talked about oxalic acid treatments vs. formic acid, Apiguard and other methods. And I think we even talked about our new website. I like it. And the subjects and enthusiasm never stopped. Bee on the lookout for a "Bee Blast" for our next bee breakfast.
