Christmas Party 2025

Our annual Christmas Party was held at The Providence Baptist Church on Randolph Road. Check out our website at meckbees.org. for future meetings. All friends and family and anyone interested in the hobby of beekeeping are welcome as we promote the hobby of beekeeping. We saw old friends, made new friends, talked about past meetings, the weather, what Santa might bring us, made plans to promote, manage and improve our new Micro Breeding Program, with interest in producing quality queens and nucs for fellow beekeepers.

We had barbecue pork and chicken with all kinds of sauces, mac and cheese, string beans, green beans, tossed salad and wait till you see the desert tables.

And the conversations just keep on coming. More on the "Oreo Suprise" later.

I am pretty sure these guys are talking about bees.

Ain't no tellin' what these guys are talkin' about. Oh, I did overhear something about some "Heath Bar Honey Cookies".

This table has something to do with the best "Carrot Cake made with Honey" ever.

Enjoying that Bar-B-Que.

Somebody is missing. I think they are the one being talked about.

"High Level Executive Meeting" in progress. From L. are Justin Orders, Secretary, Terry Edwards, President and Jesse Holland, Vice-President.

From L., "Lemon Drizzle Cake w/ BerryTruffle", "Heath Bar Honey Cookies", "Honey Cookies w/ Honey Glaze", and "Zesty Poundcake w/ Ginger Infused Honey and Fresh Strawberries".

From L., "Chess Pie", down South we call it "Jes Pie", "Apple Pie made with Honey", "Carrot Cake made with Honey", "Pfeffernusse", or in German they are called "Pepper Nuts", "Honey Cinnamon Blondies", and "Oreo Suprise".

And the winner of this year's "Dessert Baking With Honey" is left: Diane Helms, also a second year winner with her "Carrot Cake made with honey". Second place on the right is Andy McDaniel, with his "Oreo Surprise made with honey", Third place in center is Lisa Hansen with her "Heath Bar Honey Cookies made with honey".
