Our 14th. Annual Honey Tasting Contest about to begin.

Our Emcees Robin Scholz and Sean Weddington, 1st. Vice President, NC State Beekeepers Association entertain the crowd and explain the rules for our October 16th, 2025 Annual Honey Tasting Contest.

Long time beekeeper, mentor, teacher and speaker Wayne Hansen talks about honey tasting in general. Avoid greasy food and pizza and alcohol before the contest. If you plan to eat crackers or drink water to prepare your mouth for your second tasting, then do the same thing prior to tasting the first honey. When tasting several honeys on the same table, don't everybody start with the same honey.
